Bringing home Baby

As a new mom I think there is nothing more exciting or scary then bringing your newborn home. You are out of the hospital and are sent home with this tiny human to care for and the worse thing is half of the stuff that happens in the first week of being home is NOT covered in any baby books.

This blog is simply my life as a mom and things that my son taught me in becoming a mom. Sure, we can read all the books but I also believe that your baby is the one who can teach you as well. As great as some books can be every little person is different and their own self . Please do not jump on me for saying that " Baby Books" are bad because I am  not saying that I am simply saying that do not life your life following them to the max.

I have talked with countless mamas who have used Moms on Call and their baby is not "following the schedule " like the book says . Well , Honestly did you expect the baby to? This is a guide and she not be used as the Bible for raising children. I personally disagree with many of the Moms on Call schedules and think they are to strict for a newborn baby . I mean, imagine going into a new country and you do not know the language and you are the smallest one there and all these people are "forcing " you to do things when really you just want to be held and snuggled .

For my 'baby time" went far to fast and I wished I had taken in more moments. Take in the moments momma. The book can wait . Schedules are great and all but the moments are not always "on schedule" . The moments just happen .

I will say for the first 3 months of your babies life enjoy the time. Enjoy the feedings, the snuggles, and the changes because before you know it that time will be gone.
